The purpose of the AMATS: Mountain Air Drive Extension project is to address safety concerns for the surrounding communities and to stimulate development in this region of Anchorage. The primary purpose of this project is to provide a secondary means of egress for residents and access for emergency services. The secondary purposes for this project are to provide connectivity to a large undeveloped area in southeast Anchorage and to increase mobility in the Rabbit Creek & Goldenview area. Project features include a new alignment, a bridge, and a roundabout.
