After registering you will receive instructions via email about how to arrange for travel and reimbursement for expenses. Travelers flying in should arrive at the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC).
The workshop will be held at the University of Alaska Anchorage campus at 3211 Providence Drive.

Shopping, restaurants, and events are easily accessible if you are in the downtown area, as tourist season will still be ongoing in early August. Some of the popular downtown hotels (~4 miles) include the Hotel Captain Cook, Hilton Anchorage, and the Sheraton Anchorage.
Many Anchorage travelers also stay at Airbnb rentals.
On-campus housing is not available this year for guests.
Local Transportation
Uber, Lyft and taxis are all available and the easiest way to move around town if you are not renting your own vehicle. Bus service is also available via People Mover.
Weather
In early August the average low temperature is about 55 degrees Fahrenheit and the average high temperature is about 65 degrees Fahrenheit. There will be no snow but a 33% chance of rain. There will be about 16 hours of daylight. See Weather Spark for detailed weather averages.
